One Bible versions of many of Jesus Christ.

Since the day I set my heart to be a serious Christian, I began to discover that there is one bible but many version of Christ. Even the bible itself consists of many versions and translations, but nevertheless they all speak about the same thing in a different light and wordings. The major difference in the Christian world is that there are actually many types of Jesus and all of them half truths, partial and bias, not the complete understanding of our Lord God and Savior.

Jesus of Grace

Here, the preacher claims that once you are saved by saying the sinner's prayer than you are saved forever. No need to work hard to be righteous, Jesus will give you that righteousness without us trying even a little to be good. No one can be good by his own effort, so don't need to try to be good.

Jesus of Prosperity

When you come to God, all you have to do is to give your tithes and God will bless you. Give more get more. God wants you to be rich and wealthy and to do that we have to give to God so that he can bless us with what we give. Sow seed get tree with fruit, sow money to God get money from God.

Jesus of Baptism

Be baptized and all is well. You have received Jesus through confessing his name and accepting his sacrifice and be baptized and read your bible then you are saved.

Jesus a Nice Good God

God is good so he does not condemn you anymore. No chastisement, all good things will come to those who are Christians, as we are already his children and God will pamper us with all good things, money, wealth, health and favor. God does not punish anymore, he does not kill as well. All the disasters in the world are of the devil and God does nothing to stop him until Jesus comes again.

Jesus the God who gives Power

Jesus gave power to his disciple so he also gives us power to proclaim, bind and cast out devils. Our untrained tongues suddenly have the anointing once you begin to know that God has given you his inheritance to rule the world.

Jesus the human being

Jesus is not God, he is only a human and he comes to do show us how to be a good man. God is one and there is no Trinity, no father, son and Holy Spirit, only one God.

Jesus the Prophet Not Messiah

Jesus is only a prophet and he is not the savior, he came to preach about God and show the love of God for the world. Jesus is not God, he was sent by God as an enlightened one.

Jesus the answer it all God

Come to Jesus and all your problems will be solved. Your debts will be paid, or supernaturally cancelled, your sickness will be healed, your amputated leg will grow back, you will get gold teeth, and diamonds will fall all over you, gold dust will cover your body, your lost love will return and you live happily ever after.

Jesus the Institutionalized God

Jesus is a regimental God, so wants you to go to church every Sunday, pay our tithes on time, go to prayer tower to participate in 24 hours a day prayer for the world since he does not know he has to take care of the world and we have to remind him constantly. If we don't pray he does not move.

Jesus the Bible God

Jesus is all about the bible, he speaks to us only from the bible and no where else. Everything we need to do is found in the bible and its bible and bible only, nothing else. Jesus is a God who lost the ability to talk to us directly even in dreams and visions or through the still small voice. Jesus is not present everywhere he can only be found when we read the bible.

Which is the True or Real Jesus?

The above is only a small segment of what the present Christians think of who Jesus is all about. Jesus is who he is, the I am that I am. Jesus has been stereotyped by our limited minds which classify things in the worldly human understanding. They preached a Jesus whom they think he should be but not what he actually is.

Jesus is the great I am that I am. He is whatever he wants to be and we have to learn from him. We all have to make a life long journey to know and have a relationship with him. Men tried very hard to stereotype who Jesus is so that they can feel that they have worshipped him in truth. But they did not know that Jesus is too big for them to imagine. They read the same bible but came out with many types of Jesus based on their own weaknesses and character flaws. These preachers are sincerely wrong and they don't know Jesus. There is only one Jesus Christ and one narrow gate. Now what did Paul say about this?

2 Corinthians 11:3-4 (New International Version)
3But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 4For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.

Now it has come to past, because many now preached a different Jesus from the original authentic message of Jesus. The age old message is still very simple and clear. The message is one of salvation from our sin and eternal damnation in the fires of hell.

Jesus came to die for our sins, so that we can be transformed from sinners to sons and daughters, to repent and seek forgiveness for our rebellious life which is against the word of God. We are to receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior and be baptized in his name so that we can receive the gift of the Holy Spirit to lead an overcoming life, a true life of freedom from bondages and death. And to constantly be renewed from glory to glory through the washing of his words spiritually until we be changed from a heart of stone to a heart of flesh where, love, joy, peace, kindness, patience, faithfulness, goodness, self-control and gentleness, grows in our hearts.

Finding the real Jesus to gain the favor of God

Only when God favor us, will he then promote us. No man can promote anyone unless God has approved, as all promotion comes from God. You will find that promotion does not come to the smartest or the most capable, it came to those whom the Boss likes. This is called favor.

Psalm 75:5-7 (New International Version)

5 Do not lift your horns against heaven;

do not speak with outstretched neck.' "

6 No one from the east or the west

or from the desert can exalt a man.

7 But it is God who judges:

He brings one down, he exalts another.

In the Book of Daniel, God moved Nebuchadnezzar to favor Daniel because God gave Daniel the meaning of Nebuchadnezzar dreams. And in the Book of Genesis, God favors Joseph, because God moved the heart of Jacob to give Joseph a coat of honor, he also made Potiphar favor Joseph and finally the Pharaoh himself favored Joseph because God gave Joseph the meaning of his dreams. When God favors you, he will cause kings to favor you since all authorities are instituted by him. Kings may or may not be Christians; it is irrelevant, simply because all kings are approved by God himself. Cyrus was a pagan king whom God favored and made him great, but he was no Israelite.

Proverbs 21:1 (New International Version)
Proverbs 21

1 The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD;

he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.

Why did God favor Daniel and Joseph? They were men of excellent character and qualities who do not compromise on their beliefs and they were whole hearted in their life style because they honor their heavenly father. They did not try to be good Christians; they are simply walking in the ways of the Lord God.

Unless you also walk in the ways of the Lord our God, he will not favor you and so you cannot be the head. So confessing Jesus as Lord will not bring about this favor, unless you absorbed the word of God and embed it in your life style you will not gain favor with God much less gain any gifts of the Holy Spirit. If you do not turn away from your old ways and seek to walk in the righteous ways of the Lord thy God, he will not favor you. Your salvation is also not real, no deeds, no actions all talk and unless prayers with no sincerity.

God is not mocked and he can see into the intentions of the hearts of men. A sinner's prayer is not enough to get you into the favor of God. God's approval comes from the gift of the Holy Spirit into the lives of many. Jesus is the only baptizer of the Holy fire and Spirit and no pastors can give you that. God must sanctify you with the truth before he can bestow a gift upon your life, and that is a spiritual one.

When you confess and receive Jesus Christ into your life, you have only enrolled yourself in his School of Holiness and the work has only just started. It's a life long process of transformation and bearing good fruit. Until you produce the fruit of the Spirit you are never truly his disciple. A tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down.

Matthew 3:10

The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.

Matthew 7:17

Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.

Matthew 12:33

"Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit.

Galatians 5:22-23 (New International Version)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Many Christians are walking Zombies, they hear a sermon, agree to it and the minute they step out of church they forgot everything they heard. They have ears but they do not hear. If they heard, they would have done what God said to do. These people do not honor their own word let alone honor God's word. Every life situation is a test and yet they do things their own ways and not the ways of the Lord God. It is always easy to walk in our own ways by doing what comes to our minds and we don't consider how others may feel. It is much more difficult to decide to change our ways and to walk in the ways of the Lord our God.

John 14:21

Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."

John 14:23

Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

John 14:24

He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

Here is an example of how I changed my ways, in the past, I will take justice into my own hands so I need to formulate a plan and perform some manipulation. But today, after coming to Christ, I read that vengeance belongs to God, so I petition God with my request and seek justice from God and I found he never forgets, he always give me the justice due to me. That is provided I walk in his ways and also on condition that I am on a right standing with God, which means I was not the evil one.

Here is another example, in the past, I would be very zealous for Christ and I would evangelize to anyone I met without the wisdom from God. Sometimes, I offend; some times I intrude into other people's life style by being over zealous. Now, I let God speak to me and then I will open up, but I speak only he words he gave me and no more. I do not try to be too smart by helping God, God need our cooperation as being available and be bold and willing to be used by him. God does not need our knowledge and wisdom to try to help him win souls. Jesus Christ himself is the promise not us, and we will never have the power to change anyone unless God works with us through the Holy Spirit.

Here is a third example, in the past, I thought we have to sow, plant and reap all at once. Now, I know, I may be called to sow into one person, plant in another and reap what I did not sow. So this understanding made my life a joy and great peace and ease came to all my work because I decided to do things God's way. It's a fantastic way to learn the heart of the Father. If you have never run an errand for God, you will never learn his ways, reading the bible is not enough, you need to have a relationship with God by doing things when he commands you. But then again, how can you do things for him, if you can not hear from him. My sheep hear my voice, and they follow me, says the Lord your God.

Reading from Genesis Chapter one, the first three verses:

1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2. And the earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit moved upon the face of the waters.

3. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

The Word translated "God" in verse one in Hebrew is Elohim - the plural form - meaning more than one person. The verb is singular, thus showing the united work of the Trinity. God the Father the source and planner of the whole universe. In verse 2 we see the Spirit of God working. In verse 3 we have The Word of God speaking - "Let there be light: and there was light."

From creation throughout the Old Testament we see the Lord speaking to men, the Word of God unto His prophets. And they spoke with authority, "Thus saith the Lord."

As we turn to the New Testament, the Gospel of John chapter one we are told exactly who the Word of God is: verses 1-5 and 10-14.

1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2. The same was in the beginning with God.

3. All things were made by Him; and without Him was no anything made that was made.

4. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

10. He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.

11. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.

12 But as many as received Him, to them gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name:

13. Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The opening words of the Bible are repeated here 'In the beginning' and then the personal title of Jesus the Christ, the Son of God. He was with the Father from the beginning. His word brought into existence all of creation. In Him are life and light. He came into a world of death and darkness. The very world He created, the very creatures which He had formed, but they knew Him not. They had turned from God. Those who received Him, received the adoption of joint-heirs of Christ, sons of God. Verse 14. 'And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. The eternal Son, creator and maintainer of the universe, came to us as a human baby 'born of a woman' and placed in a donkey's feedbox. What unfathomable love is this!

This is the fulfillment of the promise made to Eve in Genesis 3:15 that her seed would bruise the serpent's head. The rest of the Old Testament in many forms, types, symbols, and prophecies, point to this birth. The Old Testament is the long story of preparation by God of a people to believe and await and obey His Promise of a coming Saviour.

A nation through whom all the nations of the world would be blessed.

A Messiah descended from Abraham, from the tribe of Judah, in the line of David, a prophet like unto Moses, a suffering servant, the coming King.

John's message to us is "Jesus has come!" Are we beginning to see it? The Plan of the Ages worked out among men and recorded by the guidance of the Holy Spirit in the Bible.

In spirit and in truth, the written Word of God reveals the Living Word.

The Holy Scriptures make known to us the Living Christ who is Jesus our Lord.

Above all other ways that God has made Himself known, whether through the created universe or providence, He has exalted His written Word. Why? Because it reveals and magnifies His Son. And truly the greatest ministry that God has appointed to the Holy Spirit is to reveal Christ to us through the written Word.

It is Christ's promise in John 16:14 -

'He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you!'

Sometimes today we get depressed, things go wrong, sickness, frustrations try to take us over. And yet we don't even get near the heart-sick lost and confused feelings of the two disciples who had lost all hope. Their faith was shattered when Christ had died and they were on their way home on the road to Emmaus. They had believed that Jesus was the Promised Saviour. They had heard the report of the women and the others that had gone and seen the empty tomb - yet this only confused them more. Jesus walked with them and could not understand why they had not believed the Scriptures which revealed what the Messiah must go through. In Luke 24:25-27 -

25. Then He said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into His glory?

27. And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, He expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself.

If they had but known the Scriptures, they would have believed the promises of God in His Word. They witnessed to what had happened to them in verse 32:

32. And they said to one another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures.

Psalm 22.

"1 My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

2 O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

4 Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

5 They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

7 All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

8 He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.
9 But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.

Later the same day, after the two rushed back to Jerusalem in much excitement to the brethren Jesus appeared again, now to the disciples - and He reminded them - Luke 24:44-49.

44. And He said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

45. Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

46. And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

47. And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations beginning at Jerusalem.

48. And ye are witnesses of these things,

49. And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until you be endued with power from on high.

Christ is showing that all of the Scriptures of the Old Testament spoke of Him.

The logos of the Old Testament, the spoken or written word of God makes plain, points to and portrays the invisible thoughts of God.

The Logos of the New Testament, the Living Word of God which is Jesus Christ reveals the Heavenly Father, the invisible God.

In verse 48, Jesus tells them that they have actually witnessed the fulfillment of the prophecies - with their own eyes they have seen them unfold. And the great commission is given - salvation from sin in Jesus must be preached to every nation - The Word became flesh and had dwelt among men and the world knew him not. But they had to wait until the Holy Spirit came to minister to men by revealing Jesus through the preaching of the Word which is Christ.

That we are here today is evidence that they carried out this command. They told what they had seen and heard with the power of the Holy Spirit and authority of the Scriptures and the command of Jesus Himself.

We have inherited their ministry in the New Testament Scriptures - the Gospels reveal how Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament Prophecies:

In His perfect life He fulfilled all the demands of God's Law, which no man had done or ever could do.

In His death on the cross only the Sinless One, the pure and innocent Lamb of God could be our substitute and take our punishment for sin - which is death. God's judgment against us has been met, with His precious life blood.

In His resurrection He became the first fruits of them that slept - God's great sign of approval of the Finished work of the Cross. Christ was glorified and took His place at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty.

In John the beloved's first Epistle, he opens his letter with words so thrilling that we today can scarcely take it in: verse 1-

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

John again reminds us of Christ's eternal existence. This is the very close friend of Our Lord's who reminds us that he was with Jesus for 3 years - seeing Him, watching Him teach and heal and pour out His love upon all in need, and pour out His life on the Cross. Then words almost impossible for us to grasp - He touched and placed his hands upon the Saviour - the Word of life.

Are we like Thomas - that we need to see and touch our Saviour before we believe?

Jesus knew of us. He knew that we would believe through he Ministry of the Holy Spirit and the preaching of His Word - the Gospel, yet to be written.

In John chapter 17, verse 20, Jesus is praying for His disciples shortly before the trial.

20. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word.

We have their word. It is indeed another great miracle of the providence of God to read about the lives of those who suffered and died that we might hold in our hands an accurate copy of what the apostles wrote over 1900 years ago. This is made even more remarkable by the fact that no other book or writings of Greek or Roman authors of that age can come anywhere near this continued accuracy.

But the question for us is - What are we to do with this Book. Jesus speaks plainly on this in John's Gospel.

Chapter 14, verse 23: If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him and make our abode with him.

Christ promises life-union with anyone who keeps His words by the Spirit of love which unites the Father and the Son.

Chapter 15, verse 3: Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Chapter 15 verses 7-12: If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

8. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

9. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

10. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my life; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in His love.

11. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

12. This is my commandment, that yet love one another, as I have loved you.

If we would know our Blessed Saviour we must seek Him in His Word. The Holy Spirit is our guide and interpreter and will reveal unto us the Living Christ, the Living Word of God. We must abide in His word. We must obey His Word - not if we feel like it or only when convenient with those we choose. God's love for us was an active decision of His will - while we were completely unlovable. While we were yet sinners - so must we love one another - by an act of our will in Christ - we must look at others through the redeeming work of Christ. He died for them too - those who are yet sinners and unlovely. Our message to them and for them is the love that Jesus showed in doing for their sins too. Is not the greatest joy to share the message of Jesus Christ with another?

We who know the Living Word of God which is Christ Jesus must continue to seek Him in His Written Word, that we might abide in His love, that we might grow in the knowledge of His grace, that we might grow in grace, in holiness, that we might know God as our Father that we must learn to trust in His promises, and we must obey His commandments, to live in the hope of His soon coming, that we may be with Him and be like Him, and see Him as He is, and be with Him where He is.

In Revelation chapter 19, verses 11-13 we have a picture of His coming -

11. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12. His eyes were as a flame of fire and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

13. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called the Word of God.

Let us Pray
Oh God, righteous and holy, we stand in awe of your mercy - that you sent your only begotten Son to suffer and die the death of a criminal on a cross, for us.

We see in Your Holy Word the depths of your love. We see the love of Christ for His disciples, and for us.

We know Him so little and spend to little time with Him in Your Word. Father continue to reveal Him to us by your Spirit, that we may ever remember His precious gift that even our sins are forgiven by His spilled blood. Dear Lord keep us unto the day of Your Coming ever abiding in the Word of God, Which Is Jesus Christ. Amen and Amen.

Prophet leadership and often require leaders the prophesy.

We don't realize the full value of prophetic value leaders?? Prophet is an important key figure.

Before we get to the meat of the conversation, first a little meaningful foreplay...

Do you think that when Jesus said, unless you drink my blood and eat my flesh you have no life in you, he meant his actual flesh and blood?

But literal minded people are so conditioned to taking everything literally they think he’s talking about actually eating his physical body and drinking his physical blood! Or a spiritual path was mistaken to be an actual path through the woods!).

Literal minded people are so fixated on the literal meaning they can't see the spiritual meaning! If they do catch a glimpse of something spiritual they see it as something that doesn’t matter because they see matter as the only thing that matters. So if it’s not matter, to them, it doesn’t matter!

At the beginning of Christianity there was an on going conflict between the spiritual-minded Christians (later called heretic Christians) and the literal-minded Christians (later called Orthodox Christians).

The Roman Dictator Constantine and newly converted Greco-Roman priests, at the 1st council of Nicea, (in what is now modern day Turkey) created Roman Christianity in the 4th century AD. Constantine convened the council because; the various Christians groups had contradictory beliefs about the nature of God and Jesus and were fighting and killing each other over!

This situation was destabilizing portions of Constantine’s empire, so he ordered all the Christian clergy throughout the empire to attend this meeting so they could try to create some type of standard doctrine that they all could agree on: uniting the feuding factions and stopping the instability and bloodshed.

The spiritual-minded Christians held the doctrine that Christ was a spirit and was only operating through the body of Jesus and that although Jesus’ body could die, Christ, the spirit couldn’t die (sounds reasonable to me). The literal-minded Christians, were exclusively focused on the man, Jesus, his death and the resurrection of his dead body as proof that he was the only begotten Son of God or as some thought, God in the flesh! The spiritual-minded Christians said Jesus wasn’t of the same substance as God (the Father, the source) because he was created after God, while the literal-minded Christians said he was.

A vote was taken on which doctrine would be the accepted one. The Spiritual-minded Christians were out voted by the literal-minded Christians and were banished from the proceedings and branded heretics because they wouldn’t accept the doctrine of Jesus, the physical man, as Christ (Spirit) or the resurrection of his physical body from the dead.

Catholic was chosen for this new brand of Roman Christianity because it meant universal or pertaining to all. There was to be only one God, one Son of God, one church, one doctrine and one creed as there was to be only one Emperor for all the citizens of the Roman Empire. This was the origin of the 1st Orthodox Church of Christianity: the Roman Catholic Church

As I said the spiritual-minded Christians (lumped together under the name "Gnostics" and "Heretics") were focused on the spiritual identity of Jesus, called Christ while the literal-minded Christians were focused on the physical identity of Christ, called Jesus Christ. As if Christ was Jesus' last name when it’s really a title translated from the Greek, Christos, from the Hebrew, Messiah, meaning anointed (Webster’s Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary).

So his name would be Jesus the Christ, or the anointed, not Jesus Christ (anointed). The name Jesus is translated from the Greek, Iesous, from the Hebrew, Yeshua or Yehoshua, or in English Joshua (Webster’s Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary).

Further confirmation that Jesus' real name was Yeshua, the name that the public and most Christians aren't aware of, resides in an article in the New York Times 10-22-2002 edition about a recent archeological find archeologists were trying to link to Jesus. They discovered a burial box with the Aramaic phrase "James (Ya' Akov), son of Joseph (Yosef), brother of Jesus (Yeshua)" inscribed on it. (I think the box was later prove to be a fake) Note Jesus' real name “Yeshua” as it’s translated from the Aramaic inscription into English on the box.

So you see his real name wasn’t Jesus but Yeshua (for all of you Christians who think that Jesus is the only name you can be saved by). Since he was the son of Joseph (Yosef) he would have been referred to as Yeshua Bar Yosef or Ben Yosef (Bar and Ben meaning, son or heir in Hebrew). In English his name should be Joshua not Jesus (Jesus = Joshua) Strong's Bible Lexicon.

So why did Christian scholars translate his name as Jesus rather than as Joshua as they did Joshua the son of Nun in the Old Testament whose name is also Jesus?

Was it because in the Septuagint (the original Greek bible or Old Testament, translated from Hebrew around the 3 BC) Joshua's name is translated as Jesus?

Could it be because there were other Jesus' in the Bible, most notably, Joshua the son of Nun, who inherited the leadership of Israel from Moses?

Is it because in an effort to make Jesus and his name unique (the only name you can be saved by) they didn’t want people to know that his name or maybe even he wasn’t really that unique? (The only begotten Son of God)

Here is the meaning of the name Joshua the son of Nun in Strong's Bible Lexicon,

"Joshua = Jehovah is his help, or Jehovah the Savior (or God in the flesh, El-Veasey). The son of Nun, of the tribe of Ephraim, the successor of Moses as the leader of Israel. He is called Jehoshua in Num. 13:16 (A.V.) and Jesus in Acts 7:45 and Heb. 4:8 (R.V. Joshua)".

"The meaning of Nun = "fish" or "posterity" 1) father of Joshua the successor of Moses".

The fish was also the symbol of Jesus and the early Christians. So was Joshua the original Hebrew messiah?

Here's a list of the various names and persons that mean Jesus in the Bible according to Strong's Bible Lexicon.

Take special note of Jesus # 2 Jesus Barabbas and the meaning of Barabbas: “Bar means son and Abba means father. Barabbas i.e., son of a father or the father. The notorious robber whom Pilate proposed to condemn to death instead of Jesus, whom he wished to release, in accordance with the Roman custom (John 18:40; Mark 15:7; Luke 23:19). But the Jews were so bent on the death of Jesus that they demanded that Barabbas should be pardoned (Matt. 27:16-26; Acts 3:14). This Pilate did” (Easton's Bible Dictionary).

Note that Barabbas's first name is left out in these stories. Was it left out on purpose?

Jesus was referred to as "the son of the father" but the meaning of Barabbas shows that there were two "Jesus' sons of the father" on trial in the Gospel story! So how can we be sure which one was the "real" Jesus, when the translators left out the fact that Barabbas' first name was also Jesus?

It seems that Yeshua was only translated as Jesus when it was referring to the Jesus the writers wanted us to believe was Jesus, preventing us from seeing that there was more then one person named "Jesus", or referred to as "the son of the father" on trial in that story. Is that why Barabbas' first name was omitted from the story? For more on Jesus Barabbas

We should have figured out by the Gospel writers repeated emphasis that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, that there must have been others called the Son of God or there would have been no need for that emphasis!

There was the Greek, Hercules, who had an earthly mother and the God, Zeus for a heavenly father, or the Egyptian Pharaohs, who were actually considered to be Gods, because they were sons of Gods or the ancient Emperors of China who were called the sons of heaven (God).

But check out this spotlight that the gospel of Luke shines on who the original Son of God was while giving Jesus’ supposed genealogy:

Luke 3:38 "Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the Son of God"!

Adam was the son of God? Holy Moly!

Here we have an example of one of the many contradictions between the Old and New Testaments.

In the Old Testament Adam is depicted as a creation of God not a Son of God. But in the New Testament gospel of Luke, Adam is depicted as the original Son of God thousands of years before the time of Jesus!

But the Genesis text plainly states that God created man not a son! Gen 2:7 “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (King James Version).

But Luke just as plainly states that Adam was the Son of God and chronologically the first Son of God, showing that the writer of Luke didn't view Jesus as the only Son of God! But in an effort to make Jesus (Joshua) appear special or unique, the Roman Christian clergy made Jesus the only begotten Son of God (whatever that means) to make him distinct from other sons of God. But how many ways can a father (even a spiritual father) beget his sons?

(Begotten is from Beget. Beget meaning to procreate as the father: Sire: To produce as an effect or outgrowth (Webster’ Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary). So all sons of God are begotten by their fathers!

So God had two sons Adam and Jesus! Interesting! But wait I’m not done yet. Check this out!

Gen 6:4 "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown".

Wow! God had more than one son? More like a few sons! Did you know that? Even more reason for the church fathers to invent the “only begotten son” slogan. What do you think?

And for all you armchair theologians who think that the title "sons of God" means angels. Angel is from the Greek, Angelos, and literally means messenger (Webster’s Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary) as in "messenger of God", not "son of God" as some of you may have been brainwashed to believe. If angel meant son, that would make Jesus an angel instead of the son of God and your Lord and Savior!

The original messenger of the Gods was the ancient Egyptian God of wisdom, Thoth or Tuhuti, who brought the message of wisdom and truth to the people. He’s the original model for the Christian idea of the Holy Spirit. He's also the model for the Greek God Hermes and the Roman God Mercurius, the source of the English word, Mercury.

But let's move on.

As a matter of fact there were many messiahs (anointed ones) in the Old Testament. All the kings of ancient Israel were messiahs or anointed ones. During their coronation their heads were anointed with oil by the high priest. That's why Jesus was mocked as the "King of the Jews" because the messiah was expected to be a king, like David and Solomon, who would restore the kingdom of Judah to its original glory.

Israel’s first messiah in the sense of a deliverer was the Persian king, Cyrus, who set them free from Babylonian captivity as the messiah was expected to set them free from Roman domination during Jesus' time. The prophet Isaiah even calls Cyrus the anointed (Messiah) of God.

Isaiah 45:1 “Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut”.

As I said, the original messiah and the forerunner of Jesus, was Joshua the son of Nun, the successor of Moses, who actually led the children of Israel into the Promised Land of Canaan. This places Moses in the position of the forerunner of the messiah. A pattern adopted by the fathers of early Orthodox Church and applied to John the Baptist and Jesus in a successful attempt to give their fledgling new religious cult historical validity, by connecting it to a more established religion with a long textual history.

So you see Jesus wasn't the only Jesus or messiah in the bible!

So how many Jesus’ are in the Bible?

From some crazy mad prophet

I have to laugh that I need to be mentally ill just to handle the life I have been through. When I have prophesied under the inspiration of a false anointing, one that feels the same and a spirit that sounds the same in my spirit, I have been really hurt when I have found my prophesy was off the mark. God in His manifold wisdom allowed me to be seduced and lied to by demons for years, and to hear a false Holy Spirit and a false Jesus in my mind. I said and did some pretty stupid things by my dogged determination to do everything my master told me to do no matter how hard or how stupid.

I once stripped naked and went for swim in a stranger's pool one day on a very hot summer's day when this false Jesus, a lying spirit, possibly even the angel of light told me that swimming was something that I should do. When he told me to strip naked I had my reservations, but he told me it made sense not to get my long track pants wet and my underpants wet. I objected, but how do you say no to Jesus?

So I stripped and was having a wonderful dip in a cool pool on a very hot day, and everything was fine. I was being very quiet and I knew that I could swim, dress and walk away without getting caught and besides under the water you couldn't see I was naked anyway. I felt so good, and after five years with no medication and in the throes of intense mania I was on top of the world and feeling a very spiritual high. Then Jesus asked me to do something that was one of the hardest things I have ever heard Him ask me. Now you know it was not Jesus now. As I have told you, but at the time I had no idea that their existed a counterfeit voice in my mind that sounded like the Jesus I have heard since a young boy. Nor at that time did Jesus want me to know!

My false Jesus said:

"I want to you get out of the pool now and do five dive bombs. One after the other and when you have done them, I will get the homeless off the streets of Sydney." In it's context I had lived for six months on the streets as a homeless person and had hundreds of homeless people that I knew personally good enough to share a beer with, or to be trusted to look after their bag if they had to go away for half an hour and could not take it, and so the idea of getting all my friends into a house was something that appealed to me.

I climbed out of the pool and did the first big dive bomb. I did the second and after that no one had come and I was feeling so powerful and such a good guy saving all my friends from the ravages of the streets, and besides that I was having a good time making big smashes. I climbed out of the pool after my third one and experienced a little terror.

There was an angry man standing at the end of his verandah about fifteen feet from me.

"What are you doing in my pool?"

"I am doing five bombs." I said, as it was the truth.

"Get out of my pool right now or I will call the police."

"Sorry mate I have to do two more dive bombs."

I turned from him and put my clothes on as I was really embarrassed about being naked. Then I jumped in the pool too quick, and did very big dive bombs for all my friends on the streets and all the thousands of guys I didn't know.

Ten minutes later I was arrested, and taken and charged and put in jail. I was so out of my mind I said some crazy things in there when interviewed, and so they had me admitted to a hospital as they saw I was more mad then bad!

It was four years later that God allowed me to find out I had a demon prophesying and speaking to me, and only in the last four months that I learned how to test the spirits and make sure it's the Holy Spirit telling me to say something or go somewhere now. I am happy to say five times I tested the spirits and five times I found it was a demon, and I went the opposite place where it was telling me to go. Four times I gave a very powerful prophetic word to a stranger that I met there, and one time I led a person to the saving grace of Jesus.

I am mad at the church that prays like the Pharisee oh full of so much pride and self righteousness, and yet the gay couple come into the church to sing to God and no one talks to them, save to tell them they are going to hell. I am mad at people that can buy all the best brands, cars and pools and houses, and can walk past a homeless person without offering to buy them a new shirt or a nice restaurant meal. Don't you think they like new clothes that are clean? Don't you think they have taste buds? Do you think its fun eating food out of a bin?

Do you?

You should never ever let a man go through bins for food when you have $50 in your wallet. You should give him that money even if it is rent money. Tell your landlord you will pay him back over a month, and give that man that is eating garbage, money to eat. If you think he will waste it on drink, well go and ask him what drink he would like, get two plastic cups from a take away restaurant and have wine with him and eat fresh hot hamburgers.

Shut your mouth and ask him to tell you about the Jesus he knows and just listen without interrupting. It will be the best $20 you ever spent and you might get addicted to it.

You in your man's teachings think Jesus had a grand time on earth. He was up 18 hours a day ministering, and about four hours each night weeping and conversing with his Father. Sometimes when a person like the demoniac was going to be delivered in a day or two, Jesus had not eaten for two days and had spent two nights, all night in prayer.

Jesus walked in the Spirit. If He was told to jump naked in a pool and do five dive bombs He would do it! Jesus was a mad man in His day by the so called experts. He was so deluded He thought He was God's Son. He even went so far as to say that anyone who saw Him had seen God.

I hear a lot of Christians telling me about Jesus. I hear a lot of preachers preaching about a Jesus they don't know so well. It's obvious not many people are really close to Jesus because there is only one person on earth that has ever given me insight into the book of Revelation besides the Holy Spirit. Most Christians I know have no idea about the things of the last book of the Bible. By in large people talk a lot about it and they fight over opinions. Much of the book I have seen my own visions of. Let me tell you that one day the Harbour of New York City will be blood, and one day Sydney Harbour will be blood. In fact I have a sick feeling that if the USA makes a war with the Two Witnesses of Revelation chapter 11 the only water in the USA that you can bath in and drink will be bottled water.

The Church by in large fear demons, of which I have had hour long conversations with in my head, thinking they were humans using telepathy; the Beast which they can't even recognize George W. Bush has, that self same strongman spirit is in him. False prophets, people that make millions in tapes, books and TV ministries, leading people into Baal worship and serving other gods like money and wealth, and Satan who is a pussycat who has a big roar, but runs like a baby when he is confronted with the Word of God and the anointing.

In many hospital admissions and having demons speak through me in anger at Christians who had no answers to my inner pain and struggles and my illness, I have discovered the major fault the Christian church has and the one fear they haven't got enough off, and the only fear that can save them and lead them into wisdom and truth in these trying times.

They lack the fear of God.

Most teaching has lies or errors in it. How do I know the church is drowning in a mass of lies they can't fix?

The answer: They have a hundred different denominations based on theologies and doctrines that are at odds with each other.

I am not a learned man.

I would like to think that you cannot lose your salvation but the words, "Depart from me I never knew you", are some scary words I know real born again anointed signs and wonders people are going to hear one day.

I know God is a grace filled God full of mercy, but I know also God says He will only show mercy on those who are merciful. If you can afford a thousand dollars, or a few hundred dollars, and you do not send $6.00 Bibles to China where they are 60 million Bibles short you are not merciful, and even if you met a prophet that had 10,000 pages fully explaining the book of Revelation to you, and it was 100% correct direct from the Throne room, all that information will NOT HELP YOU and you will suffer in the tribulation ahead and possibly die and go to hell.

Do you know why China is 60 million Bibles short?

Because Satan knows that if China gets Christianity they would be a superpower and the USA would have poor people doing what they were told and starving, if it were not for the aid China would be sending them. And because Satan knows the USA is central to his plans to seduce the world, he preaches a prosperity gospel in big pulpits all around the whole world, and teaches that China does not need your help.

People who assume the wrath of God is not going to be poured out on people that know what the right thing is and refuse to do it, are people that are under a strong delusion. A strong delusion has taken the whole world. Paul says those who seek to be rich often fall victim to a snare, and often lose their place in the good race. When the average born again Christian does not tithe 10%, they are hypocrite's saying they love and honour God in their money. If you trust God, give Him 10% and give that to your church you attend. Actually while you are at it print this out and give it to everybody there too! If you are sending your tithe to a ministry other then your church, you are in error and you must tithe 10% to your church also.

You might be surprised a good Jew used to give about 30% of their income and wealth to God with all their sacrifices. Even Jesus' poor family bought turtle doves for Jesus, I think it says. You want to wonder why some Jews are big bankers and still have massive power in the West. They still honor God with money!

If you are willingly and knowingly doing sin you are in grave danger in the coming years. If you are in sexual sin you are in deep trouble. If you can't leave your brother and sister, mother, father and property for Jesus sake and your own, how would you move to Australia by selling up in one quick exodus one day, if Australia was going to be the wilderness the women escape to for 1260 days to be protected by God?

You need to read what Jesus said to do and do it. Get out of the books by men. Stop reading what I write. Go and read what Jesus says each day and make a list of His fifty commands and start to do it.

Why study Bible prophecy?

Is bible prophecy really important? And if so, how important? And aren't people who expend more than a passing moment examining bible prophecy simply uneducated crackpots and lunatics yearning for the destruction of the world? These are just a few of the questions bombarding today's Christians when it comes to the study of bible prophecy.

That bible prophecy is irrelevant to the Gospel or a mere playground for the mentally unstable is a message we constantly receive from the media, pop culture, and many so-called church leaders. It's unfortunate, because this false image of bible prophecy has succeeded in turning many Christians away from the Gospel. Although recent history is marked by an untold number of date setters and false prophets claiming to speak for God, this is no reason to ignore bible prophecy. Such people were never true Christians, but rather enemies of God in disguise.

So instead of relying on the words of ministers, priests, journalists, and other humans, let's examine the primary source. Here's what the bible says about prophecy, including every verse of God's Holy Word:

"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God's way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do." 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NLT)

The word "all" includes bible prophecy, and that's good, considering more than 25% of the bible is fulfilled or yet to be fulfilled prophecy. Why is so much of the bible dedicated to prophecy? There are many reasons, but in the end, there is only one purpose: to direct the attention of the human race to Jesus Christ.

"For the essence of prophecy is to give a clear witness for Jesus." Revelation 19:10 (NLT)

Previously fulfilled prophecies lend unprecedented credibility to the bible's claim to be the Word of God, and the Messianic prophecies fulfilled by the birth, ministry, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus of Nazareth authenticate his claim to be the one true Christ. In essence, bible prophecy is the most powerful witness to the divinity of Christ. So don't listen to those who claim that bible prophecy distracts us from the true Christian mission. Quite to the contrary, all bible prophecy points to Jesus Christ Himself.

Jesus Instructs Us

Despite its many detractors, the study of bible prophecy is an essential aspect of proper Christian living. The Lord Himself expected his disciples to carefully examine the Word of God and to be prepared for His return:

"So be prepared, because you don't know what day your Lord is coming." Matthew 24:42 (NLT)

In fact, Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for not recognizing the signs of the times, for the religious leaders of His day had full knowledge of the prophecies of the Messiah, yet they still chose not to believe in Him.

"One day the Pharisees and Sadducees came to test Jesus' claims by asking him to show them a miraculous sign from heaven. He replied, 'You know the saying, 'Red sky at night means fair weather tomorrow, red sky in the morning means foul weather all day.' You are good at reading the weather signs in the sky, but you can't read the obvious signs of the times!'" Matthew 16:1-3 (NLT)

Jesus expected the people of His day to fully recognize and eagerly await the time of His first coming. As we patiently await His second coming, he holds our generation to the same standard of accountability.

There are many reasons for the Lord's repeated command to study bible prophecy, but three of the most significant are found below:

1) Authentication of the Bible

Bible prophecy offers the clearest indication that the bible is the verifiable Word of God. Yet despite the millions of people who attend church and synagogue every week and the existence of countless books on the subject, most people are simply unaware of these prophecies. They feverishly search through the writings of Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce, the Koran, and countless other "sacred texts" in hope of finding a profound truth or revelation concerning the future, only to be disappointed time and again.

Somehow, the most credible source of information on future events, the Bible, escapes notice. Yet the fulfilled prophecies of the bible are backed by mountains of historical data, archaeological evidence, and the staggering mathematical probability of their occurrence merely being the result of chance. No other source of historical knowledge can make the same claims, and for good reason. No other source is the inspired Word of God.

"And do not forget the things I have done throughout history. For I am God - I alone! I am God, and there is no one else like me. Only I can tell you what is going to happen even before it happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish." Isaiah 46:9-11 (NLT)

The very definition of God includes His unique ability to see from the distant past to the distant future, from the beginning to the end. He alone can foresee world events with 100% accuracy centuries in advance. The apostle Peter testified to this fact:

"Above all, you must understand that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophets themselves or because they wanted to prophesy. It was the Holy Spirit who moved the prophets to speak from God." 2 Peter 1:20 (NLT)

Unlike other sacred texts that claim divine origin, the bible can point to its unprecedented track record in foreseeing future events. This is because the bible is not the product of imaginative men, but rather the testimony of prophets who were moved by the Holy Spirit to speak from God. Fulfilled prophecy authenticates the bible, proving it to be the Word of God. For this reason alone, bible prophecy is worth every iota of our attention.

However, when it comes to spreading the Word of God, there is no greater tool of evangelism than bible prophecy.

2) Assistance in Spreading the Gospel

One of the easiest and most natural methods for spreading the Gospel is the sharing of bible prophecy. In fact, in the early days of the Church, sharing of fulfilled bible prophecy was the primary method for spreading the Gospel. On the day of Pentecost, Peter gave a rousing speech in Jerusalem in which he cited fulfillment of the Messianic prophecies as clear proof that Jesus was the long awaited Messiah (Acts 2:14-42). This speech led to three thousand people devoting their lives to Jesus Christ. Later in the same book, we learn the story of Philip and the Eunuch, in which Philip uses a fulfilled prophecy from the Book of Isaiah in order to explain the Gospel to an Ethiopian traveler (Acts 8:26-39). These are just two of many instances in which the early church emphasized bible prophecy as a tool for evangelism.

In one of the New Testament books which bear his name, Peter underscores the important role of bible prophecy:

"For we were not making up clever stories when we told you about the power of our Lord Jesus Christ and his coming again. We have seen his majestic splendor with our own eyes. And he received honor and glory from God the Father when God's glorious, majestic voice called down from heaven, 'This is my beloved Son; I am fully pleased with him.' We ourselves heard the voice when we were there with him on the holy mountain. Because of that, we have even greater confidence in the message proclaimed by the prophets. Pay close attention to what they wrote, for their words are like a light shining in a dark place - until the day Christ appears and his brilliant light shines in your hearts." 2 Peter 1:16-19 (NLT)

In Peter's words, bible prophecy is "like a light shining in a dark place." Bible prophecy provides us with confidence in the coming glory of Christ and the necessary hope to see us through the daily rigors of life until that day appears. He further proclaims his confidence in the words of the prophets, both fulfilled and unfulfilled, because he has witnessed firsthand the authenticity of the scriptures.

Therefore, we should afford the utmost respect for the words of the prophets, and rejoice in the fact that we are able to understand their fulfillment in the life of Christ:

"This salvation was something the prophets wanted to know more about. They prophesied about this gracious salvation prepared for you, even though they had many questions as to what it all could mean. They wondered what the Spirit of Christ within them was talking about when he told them in advance about Christ's suffering and his great glory afterward. They wondered when and to whom all this would happen. They were told that these things would not happen during their lifetime, but many years later, during yours. And now this Good News has been announced by those who preached to you in the power of the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. It is all so wonderful that even the angels are eagerly watching these things happen." 1 Peter 1:10-12 (NLT)

The prophets yearned to know more about bible prophecy, and the Spirit of Christ was within them. Even the angels are eagerly awaiting the fulfillment of bible prophecy. If this is true, then how can we say bible prophecy is insignificant or of secondary importance?

3) Encouragement of Holy Living

In the end, dedicated study of bible prophecy leads to holy living. Fulfilled prophecy is a constant reminder of God's awesome power, the glory of Jesus Christ, and the absolute certainty that promises yet unfulfilled will come to be. This breeds a number of Christ-like characteristics in the life of a Christian, a fact attested to by Paul:

"For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with self-control, right conduct, and devotion to God, while we look forward to that wonderful event when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed." Titus 2:11-13 (NLT)

If we acknowledge the prophecies of the Second Coming as well as the command of Jesus to stay awake and alert, we will be driven to live godly lives. Paul also emphasized this in his letter to the Romans:

"Another reason for right living is that you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for the coming of our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed." Romans 13:11 (NLT)

Peter also recognized the power of prophecy to motivate Christians toward holy living, citing faith in the imminent return of Christ (unfulfilled prophecy) as reason for modifying behavior and living a life in harmony with God:

"So think clearly and exercise self-control. Look forward to the special blessings that will come to you at the return of Jesus Christ. Obey God because you are his children. Don't slip back into your old ways of doing evil; you didn't know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God - who chose you to be his children - is holy." 1 Peter 1:13-15 (NLT)

James underlined the important role of bible prophecy in fostering patience in the life of Christ's followers:

"Dear brothers and sisters, you must be patient as you wait for the Lord's return. Consider the farmers who eagerly look for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They patiently wait for the precious harvest to ripen. You, too, must be patient. And take courage, for the coming of the Lord is near." James 5:7-8 (NLT)

Harboring the hope that Christ can return at any moment encourages patience in our daily lives.

In addition, Paul points out the importance of studying bible prophecy in order to identify false prophets and recognize evil:

"Do not stifle the Holy Spirit. Do not scoff at prophecies, but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. Keep away from every kind of evil." 1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 (NLT)

If a Christian ignores bible prophecy, that Christian is ignoring a large portion of God's Word. As a result, they will be unable to adequately counter arguments and false doctrines put forth by false prophets and enemies of God. Like the people of Berea (Acts 17:11), we are encouraged to personally examine the Word of God and use it as the yardstick by which we measure truth. A Christian who lacks knowledge of bible prophecy will be severely lacking in this area, and as a result, they will be more susceptible to errant teachings.

Reward Awaits

As if the above reasons weren't enough, the bible promises special blessings to those who faithfully examine bible prophecy. As an example, one of the most prophetic books in the bible, the Book of Revelation, promises a special blessing to those who merely read it. Moreover, God further blesses those who listen to what this book has to say and take it to heart:

"God blesses the one who reads this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to it and obey what it says. For the time is near when these things will happen." Revelation 1:3 (NLT)

Remember, the Book of Revelation is the revelation of Jesus Christ. Despite what some think, it's not the revelation of John, or the imaginative writings of a cave dweller. It is direct correspondence from Jesus to His followers, and although some of it is difficult to understand, it contains some of the most wonderful promises from God to man in the entire bible. As Paul states:

"That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, 'No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.' But we know these things because God has revealed them to us by his Spirit, and his Spirit searches out everything and shows us even God's deep secrets." 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 (NLT)

Paul knew the importance of bible prophecy and the significant role it played in the daily life of a Christian. In fact, he earnestly looked forward to the day when he would be rewarded for his hope in an unfulfilled bible prophecy - the glorious appearing of Jesus Christ:

"And now the prize awaits me - the crown of righteousness that the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that great day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his glorious return." 2 Timothy 4:8 (NLT)

This crown of righteousness is not just for Paul, but for all who "eagerly look forward to His glorious return," providing those who receive it with an eternal reward. Still think bible prophecy is unimportant?

Conclusion

Remember, the early church warned the last generation that unfulfilled prophecies would be a source of derision:

"First, I want to remind you that in the last days there will be scoffers who will laugh at the truth and do every evil thing they desire. This will be their argument: 'Jesus promised to come back, did he? Then where is he? Why, as far back as anyone can remember, everything has remained exactly the same since the world was first created.'" 2 Peter 3:3 (NLT)

Our generation has done more to fulfill Peter's prophecy than any generation before. Today, bible prophecy and those who study it are mocked and ridiculed. And it's not just the general population attempting to marginalize prophecy. In most cases, it's prominent leaders of mainstream Christian denominations - ministers, priests, and community leaders of all types.

Such people attempt to justify their personal disdain for prophecy by relegating it to second tier status behind salvation and evangelism. They say, why waste time studying bible prophecy when it detracts from good works and spreading the gospel message? They fail to realize that prophecy is the essence of the gospel message.

Almost every one of the promises Christians hold near and dear are based on prophecy. The promise of heaven is. The hope of salvation is. The joy of eternity with Christ is. Each of these is a promise from God guaranteeing our future. And what is a prophecy if not a guaranteed future event? So don't let the mockery of others discourage you from studying bible prophecy.

Remember, Jesus Christ Himself was mocked and ridiculed by this world. If you want to follow Him, He says you must be willing to be mocked and ridiculed yourself. Bible prophecy is the message of Jesus, and as Christians, we must be willing to endure persecution for it:

"Then he said to the crowd, 'If any of you wants to be my follower, you must put aside your selfish ambition, shoulder your cross daily, and follow me. If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for me, you will find true life. And how do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose or forfeit your own soul in the process? If a person is ashamed of me and my message, I, the Son of Man, will be ashamed of that person when I return in my glory and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels.'" Luke 9:23-26 (NLT)

In sheep's clothing like false prophets, or false to finding

They are waiting for the list to return to the Lord Jesus this world. In the heaven of their nationality. They are all the world a better place to do lessons and examples. Follow the great Commission and great commandment. Through the Lord Jesus Christ to God and others and loving relationship to develop everyone more them.

It has long been rumored that Area 51 secretly houses aliens and alien technology discovered in a UFO crash near Roswell, New Mexico. I however have a different theory. Robert Anton Wislon, proclaimed himself to be a scientist that experimented with "alternate realities". Wilson was no scientist he was indeed a witch and a sorcerer who conjured up demonic forces and if he experimented with anything it was occult power.

The question is: "Is the American government or the "powers that be" experimenting in Area 51 with demon powers?" I know that this all sounds like strange conspiracy theory nonsense, and indeed it is a theory, but how probable is it? After all the Nazi's did it and they were able to brainwash an entire nation. One of the main functions of this evil power is to "change reality in accordance with one's will" as stated by Aliester Crowley himself. Has the Antichrist system that controls the world been keeping everyone is a hypnotized state while behind the scenes they are unfolding plans that are catapulting the entire world into Armageddon. I think it is possible.

Aleister Crowley Exposed

Many people might think that Anton Levy is the father of contemporary satanism. After all it was Anton who wrote the satanic bible. You might be surprised to hear that nearly all of Anton Levy's writings came directly from the teachings of a man named Aleister Crowley. He died in 1947 and it was he who is the father of contemporary satanism and paganism. In fact almost all new age practice and occultism of today can be linked back to his teachings and books. It was this man who the Beatles called Sgt. Pepper, in fact the lyrics of the song reveal that "It was 20 years ago today Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play." That Album was released in 1967 exactly 20 years after the death of Crowley, not only that Crowley's portrait can be found on the album cover along with other occult practitioners.

Dr. Gene Scott

Be careful of this guy. He is now deceased and his wife runs his ministry, however she continually has his teachings aired on cable TV. I heard him say that the book of James is uninspired and shouldn't be in the New Testament. He misunderstands James' teaching of faith and works. We are not saved by faith and works but by faith alone. When James talks of being justified by faith and works he is talking about the life we live after that point of salvation by faith alone. We come to a point of repentance and are saved and now we live a life of good works that glorify our heavenly father and not works to be saved, but rather works because we are saved. If Dr. Scott wants to throw James out of the Bible it just makes me wonder what else would he like to take out of God's Word.

I do not know David Hogan personally and to be honest I can not prove that everything I heard him say did not actually happen. I heard David speak in Kaplan, LA. around December of 2006. He boasted of great things, he literally had more testimonies than Paul and Peter in the book of Acts. He claimed that he went and spoke the Word of the Lord before Congress, he said that he had special permission to use the underground, secret service tunnels. I can belive that happend. He also claimed that his ministry was used of God to do mighty things in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. These stories in themselves do not bother me, it was the grandious details in the stories that got me to start doubting. It was the exulation of David and not Jesus.

I can believe that there are people on this earth doing great exploits for the Lord and I definitely believe that their are people who are mightily annointed of God who have prophetic insights and powerful giftings. God has given us His Word to discern Truth for error.

Hebrews 4:12 (NASB)
¹² For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

If we use God's Word as our two edged sword of discerment, than we can divide what is "soulish" from what is "spiritual" and I do not think that most of what David Hogan was saying was spirit.

A missonary who formely worked with Hogan in Mexico, was interviewed and asked questions about David. (This man by the way is still a missonary and is not an apostate.) He said that David Hogan is a pathological liar, that most of what he says is a lie. He also stated that Hogan uses foul language and uses the excuse that is what is in his heart and if he speaks it, he can get it out of him. This guy also said that David runs his ministry with extreme and ungodly control and manipulation. I have seen this type of control in another ministry and can understand what he is talking about. When David's own mother was interviewed and asked if she had ever seen any of the miracles that David has claimed to witness and perform she said no but that she still believed her son. Many false preachers such as Peter Popoff and Robert Tilton would probably love to be David because they could claim of wonderous miracles performing in thier ministry and when asked about them they could say well that only happens in Mexico because there is too much unbelief here. They would never have to prove anything when they spoke here on our soil. Not to many con men have ever thought up that great of a con. Furthermore David's former minister claimed that David is suprisingly unkown in Mexico, but is only well known here in America. That is suprising because to here David speak you would think that all of Mexico knows who he is. It may be fun to hear his stories, and I am not saying everything he is saying is a lie. All I would ask you who are reading this, is to be careful of David Hogan and men like him.
